Gratitude from “MCD – A Decade of Devotion and Growth”
Forum “Joining Partnership with MCD, the Youth and Related Parties in response to Climate change in Coastal Areas and Islands” on the occasion of celebrating “MCD- a Decade of Devotion and Growth ” has successfully took place in Ha Noi on 9th May 2013.
The forum has attracted 170 representatives from institutions, organizations, partners and fellows both domestically and internationally.

Mr. Nguyen Van Cu, Head of Vietnamese Administration of Seas and Islands
encouraged and praised contributions from such civil social organizations as MCD.
Ms Maria Selin, Vice Ambassador cum Head of Development Partnership, Embassy of Sweden
was delighted bythe growth of MCD which was partly contributed by Swedish partners.
MA Nguyen Quang Luong- Subject of Marine Construction technique,
Water Resources University, representative of The youth and students
expressed emotion and determination to accompany MCD from the littlest.
Ms Nguyen Thu Hue, Founder, Director of MCD
spoke about a decade of dedication and evolution of MCD’s generations.
Participants expressed support and commitment for MCD and the youth.
The amazing performance of “Blue Lighthouse”
MCD had the honor to receive complimentary from VUSTA,
VIMASTA, People Committee of coastal cities and provinces.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, vice president of People Committee of Nam Dinh,
on behalf of coastal areas, appreciated MCD’s creativity and underlined the need of cooperating efforts.
On this occasion, exhibition “MCD – A decade of Devotion and Growth” displayed 23 documentories including technical publications, research papers, assessment, communication and advocacy, and organization development of MCD. Website MCD was also launched with updated information via new interface at www.mcdvietnam.org. The exhibition showed photos of MCD’s projects, changes in local residence’s life and the people who have cooperated with MCD for the last 10 years in response to climate change and community development in coastal areas in Vietnam.
Forum “Joining Partnership with MCD, the Youth and Related Parties in response to Climate change in Coastal Areas and Islands” on the occasion of celebrating “MCD- a Decade of Devotion and Growth” is a remarkable milestone in MCD’s path. MCD sends cordial thanks to valued partners for having participated the event and hopes to receive continuous support from stakeholders and young people to complete the role in protecting the environment and responding to climate change in coastal areas and islands.
