MCD joint Vietnam Sustainable Shrimp Alliance
On June 17, 2019, in Ca Mau province, the signing ceremony for joining the Vietnam Sustainable Shrimp Alliance took place. It was made by 28 organizations, including MCD and 3 cooperatives representing the farming households, namely Cai Bat, Doan Ket, and Hung My.
The signing ceremony is part of the “Business matching day and MOU signing ceremony of Vietnam sustainable shrimp alliance”. It was organized by Ca Mau Provincial People’s Committee in collaboration with the Department for Private Economic Development, SeafoodWatch Program (Evaluation Research Program), Environmental Impact of Gulf of Moterey Aquarium, USA), and Carnegie Foundation for International Peace (CEIP).
More than 500 participants were present at the event, including organizations, individuals, seafood processing companies, and Ca Mau shrimp cooperatives, above all there were 4 buyers from the United States.
