The representative of MCD, Ms. Ho Thi Yen Thu – Standing Deputy Director of MCD, attended the IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025, held on October 8–16, 2025, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). One of the key outcomes of the IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025 was the Abu Dhabi Call for Action, which highlights five priority areas: Reaffirming nature as the foundation of human and planetary well-being; Strengthening multilateralism and the power of collective action, cooperation, and leadership; Ensuring justice and inclusive and equitable participation by the whole of society; Advancing science, knowledge, innovation and education for action; Scaling up and aligning resources for nature and climate action. The declaration calls for collaboration among governments, communities, businesses, science, and innovation to move toward a future where nature and people thrive together. These priorities align well with MCD’s efforts to intensify its activities and make positive contributions to IUCN’s collective global actions.
