During September 05-07, 2023, MCD team participated in the Final MARE meeting with MARE partners, hosted in Ho Chi Minh city by Ho Chi Minh University of Natural Resources and Environment (HCMUNRE). Participating in the event included representatives from all 13 implementing partners of MARE from Europe, Malaysia and Vietnam.

Throughout the meeting’s first section, all MARE delegates presented enthusiastically about MARE achievements and share lessons learnt on the topics of training courses and the relevant materials. MCD also contributed to the meeting through the presentation about the MCD work done from beginning to the final meeting of the MARE which was highly evaluated by other MARE partners. In the second section, all participants discussed about the next activities to finalize the task assignments and also to complete the MARE commitment. This section was conducted in a very cooperative atmosphere and was a great success. This was considered an open opportunity for all members to create new connections for further operation with a range of issues related to marine, coastal and delta sustainability.

After the meeting, MARE partners shared the cultural souvenirs and also received the letters of intent from each other and this confirmed the success cooperation of the MARE partners in the project.
