Launching Conference of Project “Internship and Village facilitators (IVF) for Climate change community based adaptation program in biosphere reserves of Vietnam”
In July 27/07, at Ha Long City, the Centre for Marinelife Conservation and Community Development (MCD) in collaboration with Ha Long Association for Environmental Education and Protection organized launching conference for the Project “Internship and Village facilitators (IVF) for Climate change community based adaptation program in biosphere reserves of Vietnam” funded by McKnight Foundation
Ms. Nguyen Thu Hue, MCD Director and Mr. Le Hung Son, Vice-president of Quang Ninh communist youth union with president of Ha Long Association for Environmental Education and Protection sign Collaborative working plan on implementing the project
Fundamental content of the project includes: Recruiting Blue Lighthouse Interns; developing capacity for local partners on climate change and encouraging local youth to take part in activities related to climate change adaptation; advocacy activities on environment protection on extra activities of high schools, share experiences and inspire youth to contribute initiates on environment protection and climate change adaptation…

Ideas and solutions to implement project
At the conference, delegates discussed and gave feedbacks on promoting the role of youth and communities in protecting environment and adapting to climate change; facilitating youth to be involved in these activities and replicate pilot models, experiences as well as suggesting solutions to effectively implement the project in Quang Ninh….

Also at the conference, the Centre for Marinelife Conservation and Community Development (MCD) and Ha Long Association for Environmental Education and Protection signed the Collaborative Working Plan on implementing the project in Quang Ninh in 2016.
